The Iron Chef

The Iron Chef is one of my favorite cooking show that can be watch at QTV channel 11 every Monday at 8:30 PM. Iron Chef was a stylized cooking competition featuring accomplished guest chefs challenging one of the show's resident "Iron Chefs" in a timed cooking battle built around a specific theme ingredient. The three Iron Chef are named Chen Kenichi (Iron Chef Chinese), Hiroyuki Sakai (Iron Chef French), Masaharu Morimoto (Iron Chef Japanese). The host of the show was Takeshi Kaga known on the show as Chairman Kaga.
The story behind this cooking competition was always every time the show was aired. It said the Takeshi Kaga "realise his dream in a form has never seen before" and he constructed a cooking arena called "Kitchen Stadium" in his castle. There are visiting chefs who are going to challenged one of his resident chefs which he called the Iron Chefs. The challenger and the chosen Iron Chef will try to defeat each other by trying to make the best foods out the themed ingredients of the day.
I hope that the Filipinos will build their own version of this cooking competition, I am sure it will be a very great hit, because it is very exiting show and you learn a lot from it.
